ABOUT US

It's all about Cuba!!!!! At the end of 2006, I quit my job, left my life in London behind, flew to Cuba and I have never looked back.

For 1 month I lived in Trinidad, Cuba in a Casa Particular with a family, I took Spanish lessons and salsa classes and I had the most amazing experience. Cuba truly is a magical place that has found it's way into my heart; full of charm, culture, struggle and romance.

I grew very close to the family and I am now part of my Cuban family, 'la prima', 'the cousin', that keeps going back for more. They allowed me into their lives and shared the real Cuba with me. The trials & tribulations in a world where nothing is straightforward, logical or as it seems. As most people say 'no es facile', 'it's not easy', but if nothing else Cuba is fascinating and even with it's difficulties, Cuba continues to amaze me.

We are not planning on becoming an 'all singing all dancing' web company offering language programs across the world, no, no, no.... we are a family / locally run business.

With our local knowledge, passion and dedication, we want to ensure that you guys out there get to experience the real Cuba, just as I did. We
don't organise flights, but we do organise Casa Particulares a.k.a. family host stays, transport, Havana / Trinidad City Tours, Spanish lessons, Salsa classes, Music lessons, Ceramic classes, Art classes.....you tell us what you're interested in and we will see what we can do.

  2. Hi there,
Thanks for the transport ideas between Havana and Trinidad--looking to stay in a hotel near or on the beach in Trinidad. Any recommendations?

  3. Hi Rena,
I was wondering if you could give me advice? I will be visiting Cuba in April. I will arrive in Havana at 4pm on a Saturday and we want to leave for Trinidad straightaway. To get there we want to catch a bus. Will this be possible on a Saturday at 4pm? Can we book a bus ticket in advance to ensure we get a seat on the bus?
On our way back we will then stay in Havana.
    Thanks and regards,
    Vanessa

    1. Hi Vanessa
There are no buses that leave from Havana to Trinidad after 4pm. The only way you can travel from Havana to Trinidad at this time is by organising a private taxi.
If you want to know our private taxi prices from Havana airport to Trinidad email me at experiencetherealcuba@gmail.com
      Regards
      Rena
